ABOUT US
Established in 2015 and administered through the Ottawa Community Foundation, the Ottawa Art Society Fund was conceived in the belief in the transformative power of the arts to effect social change and to encourage the development of visual arts projects in Ottawa. The objective is to create a sustainable fund and to provide a simple and easy way to support the visual arts in Ottawa.
HOW WE WORK
The Ottawa Art Society Fund is managed by a team of advisors who are all arts professionals. Grants of $2,500 are awarded annually to non-profit visual arts organizations recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as registered charities.
THE OTTAWA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Founded in 1987, the Ottawa Community Foundation is a public, non-profit organization created by and for the people of Ottawa. It pools the charitable gifts of many donors in an income-earning endowment that benefits the community at large. For more information, please click here.
The Ottawa Art Society Fund is a Donor-Advised Fund that recommends which charitable organizations receive annual grants and in what amount. The financial and administrative management of the fund is overseen by the Ottawa Community Foundation.
TO DONATE
Donors of any age and financial means can be involved. Those who give $20 or more will receive a charitable receipt from the Ottawa Community Foundation.
